81 Suzuki GS450 noise

There was a rattle sound like bearings in a hollow aluminum can between 3500-5000 rpm. No physical signs of wear or that there was damage being done. The basket nut had got a little loose, once I bent the keeper it can off only using my fingers. Torqued it to spec when I put it all back together...it's shouldn't come loose this time.
