Fall Colors | Chinook Pass and Mount Rainier National Park

It has been a few weeks since my last vlog / video. I have been in Europe for the past two weeks on a photography workshop, so I haven’t been able to venture into the backcountry for any content. However, this weekend prompted me to go on a quest for fall color. Knowing that the fall colors vary from time to time and from place to place, I wanted to explore the area around Chinook Pass – Elevation 5,430 feet. Being at a high elevation will provide maximum opportunity for early color; I wasn’t disappointed. On my drive through the mountains, I noticed a prominent cloud layer as I gained in elevation. I was able to use this moody cloud layer to really pull out and emphasize the dark-tones in the fall color. I hope you enjoy this video.
