Billy Goat Bluff Track - July 2020

I have replaced my 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV8 with a MY10 Facelift model of the same car. This was largely because I can swap over all of the parts that I have accumulated over the years!

Having only had the car for a couple of days, I had only enough time to fit the mud tyres from my previous car, so no bar work, winch or snorkel so we wanted to keep things fairly tame! This was the first time this car had ever seen a dirt road, let alone a 4wd track! With a couple of good mates and two more from the 4wdtrip website we headed out to Dargo and the Wonnangatta track where we selected low range at the start of Billy Goat.

Billy Goat Bluff track has forever had a name in the 4wd community for being steep and challenging. These days, most of the interesting parts of the track have been graded and the rock steps ground down for better fire access making for relatively mundane viewing, however, there was one spot near the top where we could have a bit of a crack!
