I was invited to perform in Malaysia, in June 2022, for the Borneo Jazz Festival. We performed music from my NikKollective albums, as well as some compositions by Mark and a couple of arrangements.
The big challenge was to adapt music that was meant for a way bigger project (horns, multiple keys and guitars, hammond etc etc) to a much smaller group: quartet!
Mark, Adriano and Arthur are some of the very best in the world! I feel honored to have shared the stage with them once again! Not to mention that reuniting with my Malaysian brother Arthur Kam after 7/8 years, was so amazing!!
