The Iris Nebula from Dark Skies #astrophotography #space

I travelled to dark skies to capture this faint reflection nebula located within the constellation Cepheus. The Iris nebula lies 1,300 light years from Earth, and is a huge collection of dust illuminated by a bright blue central star.

I captured this nebula using an Askar 80PHQ refractor paired with a ZWO 533MC Pro camera on top of a skywatcher HEQ5 Pro mount.
