In Materials Studio, you can use the "Cleave Surface" tool to create a new surface by cleaving or cutting a surface along a specific plane or direction. To use this tool, select the surface you wish to cleave in the "Model Tree" window. Then, go to the "Tools" menu and select "Cleave Surface." In the "Cleave Surface" dialog box, you can specify the plane or direction of the cleave, as well as the distance and angle of the cleave. Once you have set the parameters, click "OK" to cleave the surface. The new surface will be added to the "Model Tree" and can be further manipulated or analyzed.
