Ichthyosis Vulgaris | Causes, Signs & Symptoms, Diagnosis, Treatment

Ichthyosis Vulgaris is an inherited skin disorder due to abnormal skin keratinization, ultimately due to a mutation in the filaggrin gene. Ichthyosis Vulgaris can have a large spectrum of signs/symptoms, including a very mild presentation to a very severe presentation diffuse, dry and scaly skin. In this lesson, we discuss clinical features of this condition, including methods to diagnose it and ways to treat it.
