Gunman flees deadly shooting in Rowland Heights neighborhood

Deputies are searching for at least one gunman after a man was found dead in a Rowland Heights neighborhood in an unincorporated area of Los Angeles County overnight. The shooting was reported around 10:20 p.m. Tuesday at a home on the 2500 block of Doubletree Lane. Several squatters had reportedly lived at the home, according to neighbors.

The victim was only identified as a 34-year-old man from Hacienda Heights. Deputies responding to the residence near the end of a cul de sac found the man lying on the driveway and suffering from a gunshot wound to his neck.
