FedEx Ground Distribution Center | Carencro, LA

Louisiana Helicam recently completed weekly project aerial photos, videos, and panoramic images for the newly-constructed FedEx Ground Distribution Center located in Carencro, Louisiana. We visited the site each week for 36 weeks during the course of construction.

The new project, developed by the James Saad Development Corporation, replaced an existing facility in Scott, LA. The site was chosen because of its ease of access to major highways, proximity to customers' distribution centers and a strong local community workforce for recruiting employees.

The new facility is part of a nationwide network expansion to boost daily package volume capacity and further enhance the speed and service capabilities of the FedEx Ground network, she said. Since 2005, the company has opened 15 new hubs featuring advanced material-handling systems and expanded or relocated more than 500 local facilities.
