According to a report by Association of Democratic Reforms, around 88% of the newly elected MPs are crorepatis. Barely 9 MPs have assets less than 10 lakh rupees. The top 3 richest MPs belong to the Congress party. Meanwhile, uncertainty looms over Rahul Gandhi continuing as Congress President after the party's electoral defeat in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections.
