More Exciting Viscosity Intaglio Print Techniques!

In this video, I explore, in more depth how wonderful viscosity intaglio printing can be!

The proof print I ran taught me a lot about the amount of ink I needed to apply, as well as what roller pressure was needed.

After seeing this proof I was then able to make a decision on what areas needed extra wiping to get to my finished result

Intaglio printmaking is a process of drawing on the surface of an intaglio printing plate, or matrix to create a design. The artist then places ink into these lines and creates an impression onto paper by pressing it against the inked plate. One way that artists can make their prints more exciting is by using viscosity techniques like pouring paint onto the plate and lifting it up or dragging it across with your fingers.
