One of the Tallest Peaks in the Laurentian Mountains (Mont-Tremblant)

Long ago, the Laurentian Mountains were estimated to have had an average height of 39,000 feet - 10,000 feet taller than Mount Everest today. A billion years later, they’ve been eroded down to a few hundred metres, with the famous Mont-Tremblant standing as one of the tallest peaks in the region, measuring 875 metres (2,871 feet). It’s truly mind-blowing to imagine how tall Tremblant’s original height once was. Today, it is hub for year-round outdoor activities and is Canada’s second most popular ski resort.
