Very Rare Train Shoving 100+ Cars To End Of Track! Railway Switching On Huge Trestle At Quarry! PT1

Extremely rare train switching move all the way to the end of usable track! Railway shunting at its best! Nearly abandoned railroad track in use. The very end of Norfolk Southern Railroad track that is leased to Cincinnati Eastern Railroad CCET. 2 Locomotives are shoving over 100 railcars to the end of their leased track. The train is seen east of Peebles, Ohio in the Plum Run area. There were already 55 cars sitting east of Plum Run on the main line. There were also cars sitting on the Peebles passing siding and a few other sidings such as Lawshe and Mt Zion. 2 locomotives brought the cars from all these sidings and shoved them into the 55 cars sitting east of Plum Run. The cars totalling somewhere around 130 cars were shoved all the way to the derail and pile of gravel over the tracks at Jaybird Road east of Plum Run and past the Hanson Quarry. First seen is a long cut of storage cars crossing the road in front of Hanson Quarry and being shoved. Next we see the train shoving across the huge trestle that crosses the quarry conveyor belt. Then we see it crossing a private driveway and then arriving at the very end of active track. This is around Mile Post 78.4 and the track east of this point has not seen a train since 2003. All of these cars were being put into storage except for one car. The gravel hopper car next to the locomotives was set off on the siding in the quarry. Part 2 of this video will show the train back that car into the quarry siding to load it with gravel. The gravel will be used for construction of the gravel unloading area near Milford, Ohio on Roundbottom Road. Part 2 will also show the train passing through Peebles, Lawshe and working the grain elevator in Winchester where they shoved 2 cars in and picked up 15 car loads of grain.
