MASSIVE INFESTATION OF YELLOWJACKET WASPS! MULTIPLE NESTS IN A HOUSE! THOUSANDS OF WASPS COLLECTED!

Welcome to the Green Wasp Removal & Venom Collection YouTube Channel! In this episode, we continue training and mentoring the Manchester University Wasp Team as we are called to assist an elderly home owner with a massive infestation of German Yellowjackets (Vespula germanica) that had established multiple very large nests all around her house!

To avoid doing a lot of demolition to the walls and soffits of the home to remove all the nests directly (which was more than the home owner could handle repairing), we set up a long term attrition collection from the outside of the building that took several weeks to complete.

We ended up collecting thousands of wasps for Venom Immunotherapy (VIT)!

Most of the wasps we collect are utilized for Venom Immunotherapy (VIT). VIT is a life-saving medical treatment in which patients with severe venom allergies receive a series of injections (containing wasp venom products) which ultimately desensitizes them as they gain immunity to wasp venom. The goal of the VIT process is to prevent venom-related medical emergencies before they can occur. The treatment normally results in life long immunity to wasp venom (or bee, ant, etc.) and has up to a 98% effectiveness rate! VIT offers an amazing improvement in the quality of life for allergy patients, and we highly recommend it to people who may need this treatment.
