Backpacking the U Bar Trail - Cabin Loop - Coconino National Forest, Mogollon Rim, Arizona

We hiked part of the Cabin Loop trails a few weeks ago and loved it, so we went back to try out another section. This video shows our overnight backpacking trip to the U Bar Trail. It was relatively short, but I made the mistake of saying how I wanted to see a bear.....I got my wish. A little too close for comfort, actually. This trip was a great example of the old saying 'don't stick with a bad decision just because you spent a lot of time making it.'

The Cabin Loop trails are a great backpacking experience, especially if you're into solitude...and wildlife.
