The Trial (Процесс) 1988. Stalin judged in the late USSR.

A remarkable Soviet television documentary by  Igor Belyaev which investigated Stalin's crimes and the betrayal of the Russian Revolution. Reflecting the spirit of glasnost, the film releases a flood of memories as survivors of momentous events bear witness to their experiences. A group of old-guard revolutionaries reminisce and argue in Red Square, their stories highlighted by newsreel. Interspersed throughout the film, historians and writers debate the significance of the Stalin dictatorship. The film was so probing that even in that era of glasnost there was an eight month struggle to get it released.
This version, broadcast in the U.K. In November 1989, is an edited-down version of the full Russian version which was made in two parts and runs for nearly two hours. Those parts are currently on YouTube, but only Part 2 with English subtitles, as far as I can see
Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zG2ykkfpaU
Part 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XUcccQ5KItA&t=351s
The music is by Vadim Khrapachev who also wrote the music for Defence Counsel Sedov (Защитник Седов), a stunning short drama about Stalin's terror made in 1988 and also currently available on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9pquRUiRZgo&t=50s
