Eosinophils low in blood | Eosinopenia

Eosinopenia is defined as low Eosinophil count in the blood than tha normal reference range of absolute Eosinophil count.
Normal range of Eosinophils is 1 to 6 %
i.e 4 to 400 cells / cubic mm.
Certain health conditions and medications can cause low eosinophil counts, including:
Acute bacterial infections like typhoid and sepsis
Excess alcohol intake
Excess production of cortisol
In Cushing's syndrome: There is overproduction of cortisol, which can lead to lower eosinophil levels.
Bone marrow disorders : Disease affecting the bone marrow, such as aplastic anemia, can cause a low Eosinophil count.
Excessive Steroid use.
The anti-inflammatory drugs can reduce the production and function of eosinophils.
