VERA is an open-source desktop client for Vertica SQL that combines a fast schema browser, a multi-tab Monaco editor, and optional AI assistance. VERA is an open-source application pioneered by Maya Goldberg. This project showcases the innovative power of AI-driven development, as the core code and architecture were realized and refined with the direct assistance of advanced AI tools.

Getting Started
1) Login or Continue: From the start screen choose Login (enter username/password), Create user, or Continue without Login.
2) Settings: Click Settings in the top toolbar to set your Local files folder (Vera), the vsql path, and Vertica connection (Host, Database, User, Password). Test both DB and AI connections.
3) Create VERA user (optional): In Settings use Create VERA user from these settings to save an encrypted local profile.
4) Refresh: Use Refresh to build the schema repository, populate the Schema Tree, and re-index AI schema knowledge.
