2020 footage of SS Richard Montgomery shipwreck in Thames Estuary, UK

Recent footage from July & August 2020 taken from land & sea in a variety of weather conditions & tides of the WWII American Liberty ship SS Richard Montgomery, which ended up being wrecked on the Nore sandbank off of Sheerness in Kent on 20 August 1944.

The wreck is situated 1.5 miles north of Sheerness and 5 miles south of Southend on Sea, Essex.

The UK Government have indicated they are planning on having the masts visible above the waterline cut off in 2021.
