Lava lake in Halemaumau Crater at night (Big Island of Hawaii)

In March 12, 2008 new gas vent opened in Halemaumau (Halema`uma`u) Crater. On September 11, 2008 was revealed within Halema`uma`u's new vent (http://hvo.wr.usgs.gov/volcanowatch/archive/2008/08_09_11.html)
Most of this video, filmed on August 28, 2016 was, shows the vent at night. The weather was bad: steady rain and rather poor visibility. I had an umbrella in one hand, not for me, for my camera, and tried to film something with another hand. Still a little bit of the lava lake, which at that day was about 30 m (100 ft) below the floor of Halemaʻumaʻu, is seen. The flying incandescent bits are spatter (blobs of molten rock) being thrown into the air as gas bubbles within the lava lake burst.
