'Rehabilitation' – Restoring What's Damaged by Jason Frank

We all know what it means to be damaged. Some wounds are obvious; others are hidden beneath calm smiles, strong routines, or carefully built walls. A painful memory, betrayal, disappointment, loss, failure, or prolonged hardship can shape the way a person sees life. Many people learn to function while still carrying damage, but functioning is not the same as healing.

In this message, Jason uses the word rehabilitation to describe what God wants to do in the lives of His people. Rehabilitation is the restoration of something that has been damaged. That idea fits the Christian life beautifully. Sin damaged us. Life in a fallen world damages us. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy. But Jesus said that He came so that we may have life, and have it to the full.

You do not have to stay damaged. Jesus is able to restore what life, sin, sorrow, and hardship have broken. Even in the darkest valley, He can bring peace, righteousness, and renewed strength. Do not just ask God to remove the problem - ask Him to change your heart and draw you closer to Himself. Sit at the feet of Jesus this week and let Him rehabilitate the damaged places in your life.
