DIY Projects: Noisy HVAC Gas Furnace
This is a quick update of on of my DIY projects around the house.
Our HVAC gas furnace (Payne - 80% AFUE 110000 Btuh Multipoise Gas Furnace) started making an annoying noise which was clearly a motor issue due to its cyclic nature.
As an electrical engineer, I decided to investigate/fix this as a DIY project.
Identified two possible noise sources: Draft Inducer assembly and Main Blower assembly.
As you see form the video, the noise came from both sources.
So I decided to change them both.
All replacement parts were purchased via: https://www.supplyhouse.com/
Instructions from manuals and YouTube!
After 3 hours, both assemblies were replaced and problem solved.
