Mirror's Edge Glitchless Segmented - 37:38 (40:23 RTA) Segmented Speedrun

Mirror's Edge, glitchless in 37 min 38 sec (40 min 23 sec including loads). It took 5 months and 195 segments to complete.

Some things could have been better - a better wallboost occasionally and tighter movement in areas. Don't be too harsh, this was a huge project and I'm just one guy, not an entire community. I didn't have the motivation to grind out segments to absolute perfection :D

Everything was recorded with the dialogue and music off. I manually edited all of it into the project in post-production. This took about a week of continuous editing. Used a billion keyframes to balance audio when Merc was speaking. Also had to simulate surround sound for a lot of enemy dialogue as I moved the camera, which meant that audio sources would change direction.
Voetiem recorded the infinite wallclimb in Atrium, and BluMage recorded the alt climb to speedvault in Stormdrains. Huge thanks to those guys.

Thanks to Nikos for making the thumbnail picture. Except for the Mirror's Edge title/logo - that belongs to DICE and EA obviously :D

Strats omitted (mostly for good reasons):

9:12 Stormdrains Exit - Coiling onto platforms during Chimp's climb method --- Forgot coiling was possible. Would be huge hassle to rerecord.

10:56 Chase - Wallclimb sidestep over barbed wire (1.2 sec) --- Was found after I finished recording Chase. Didn't rerecord because I'd need to reload Chase after every failed attempt so Jacknife would reset his position; I wanted him on screen for consistency. Huge hassle. Plus, setting up the strat up from the previous strat was insanely difficult and would take a ton of retries.

12:15 Burfield - Faster speedvault method before first red door (0.2 sec) --- Wouldn't really be able to line it up properly after the pole boost.

15:01 Cranes - Death abuse (1 sec) --- Found it after I finished the segment. Upon respawning, the helicopter spawns too, so I would have to rerecord the entire cranes segment just to have the helicopter in the background.

15:25 Cranes - Roll cancel from landing on red platform cable (1 sec) --- Way too annoying to get. Originally decided not to bother with it. Came back later and tried to rerecord that segment, but still couldn't get a good landing that preserved some momentum.

22:20 New Eden - Wallboost before pipe climb (0.0 sec) --- Literally exactly the same as sidejumping the gap.

23:01 New Eden - Wallclimb sidestep wallboost over barbed wire (0.75 sec) --- Found this too late as I was editing the dialogue and music in. Would have to splice before the ziplines and do the entire new eden stretch again anyway.

23:54 New Eden - Drop kick avoid from vent fall collision before mall (0.0 sec) --- Not even worth bothering.

27:26 PK Training - Fancy strat before the stairs (0.05 sec) --- Was lazy. Decided not to bother for like 2-3 frames of time save.

32:13 Celeste Chase - Double boost to rail vault before zipline (0.2 sec) --- Decided not to bother with this finnicky strat because I'd have to restart the chase after every failed attempt, since I needed Celeste's footstep audio to be consistent as she was behind me.
