Setup React JS development environment on Windows

This video describes the process to setup development environment for developing React JS applications on a windows PC. You need to install Node JS platform on the Windows PC to run React JS applications. Then, you need to install Visual Studio Code, an IDE to write and run React code.

You can execute "node --version" command on command prompt to check if node is properly installed. If the command output displays current node version then, Node JS is properly installed on your PC.

In visual studio code terminal, you shall run "npx create-react-app myreactapp" command to create an initial React JS Application with name "myreactapp". You may choose any other name.

Once your initial React JS App is downloaded, navigate to app folder in terminal using "cd myreactapp" command.

In the "myreactapp" folder on terminal, type "npm start" command to compile and run your first React JS App. The react JS home page will load in your default browser.
