This is my cover of a classic upbeat and cheerful English Christmas pop song from the 1970s which itself is based upon a very old carol from the 14th century. Mike Oldfield is a multi-instrumentalist and recorded each section individually creating layer upon layer to create the final track. I did the same thing mostly using EWQL's Symphonic Library and a couple of other things.

In this track I used two types of flute, basoon, piccolo, two pianos, acoustic guitar, bass, two types of strings, marching band snares, timpani, several cymbals, church bell and of course sleigh bells! Every Christmas tune needs sleigh bells!

I really like the original track and look forward to hearing it each year as Christmas approaches and it always feels like when I do hear it for the first time each year it kicks off the holiday season for me.
