Multi-faceted, intense and an actress par excellence is what we know Tabu as. She speaks of how many births and rebirths she had through her roles and how they always brought a new perspective to her in her life. Having clarity in purpose and submitting to the creative process in her roles brought her success throughout her journey of life. Tabu says that rethinking is constant and happens every day and every time for her. Some roles had the power to deconstruct her life and she picked up newer masks and moved on. Tabu beckons you to create hunger for new experiences and the willingness to leave behind fright, in order to stand out. Padma Shri Tabu has won 2 National Film Awards for Best Actress, 6 Filmfare Awards, and a record 4 Critics' Awards. An actor with a body of work of intense and serious portrayals in multiple languages and countries, she is best known for playing protagonists in films that garner critical appreciation Tabu, is regarded as one of the most talented Indian actors of her generation. She was awarded the Padma Shri in 2011, besides winning National Film Award for Best Actress twice, six Filmfare Awards, including a record four Critics Awards for Best Actress. She is best known for playing protagonists in films that garner critical appreciation and she often gets appreciated for her intense and serious portrays. Her magic has been felt down in the South Indian film industry and internationally as well.
