A Christian Ceremony to Burn and Bury the Doctrine of Discovery
Based on an Iroquois Peace Tree Ceremony.
Held at Agapé Community Hardwick, MA, October 7, 2017
A celebration of St. Francis Day that brought together hundreds of people and Native American leaders and elders from across the U.S., including keynote speaker Chief Arvol Looking Horse of the Lakota, Dakota and Nakota Nations, and Beatrice Menasé Kwe Jackson, who led a sacred water ceremony. This was a transforming experience for many of the (approximately) 300 people who attended.
