ImageJ GPU Free Image Processing Challenges & Solutions
https://rigaku.com/
Explore the limitations of ImageJ for image processing, especially its lack of GPU utilization leading to slow calculations. Discover if cone beam images work with ImageJ and understand Radon transform plugin constraints for parallel beam geometry.
[61:26-61:56]
z- some other, some other, um, um, image re- image, uh, processing here, noise reduction, scatter reduction. I assume there's, you know, there's, somebody probably has a plug-in to help with some of that. Uh, so that's, that's a, uh- But one thing, keep in mind, though, if you're gonna use ImageJ, uh, is that because it doesn't utilize a GPU, uh, most plug-ins don't, the calculation can be very, very slow if you try to do everything in ImageJ, especially for reconstruction calculation.
[61:56-62:17]
Okay. And then, uh, the final question fro- from Roger is, can we use images obtained with a cone beam system with ImageJ? So you showed us- Uh, not with this particular, uh, Radon transform plug-in we used. This one assumes only parallel beam geometry.
[62:17-62:38]
Okay. Now, there was something that came in, uh, uh So, um, Ahmad, you're asking, again, you're asking kinda questions of, uh, of an optical microscope as opposed to a, um, x-ray microscope, so I'm not sure we'll have a que- answer to this.
