Addressing Ground Realities in Recycling | Wilma Rodrigues | TEDxSWMRT

21 years ago the first set of SWM rules came about to drive sustainable waste management practices. At that time, Wilma Rodrigues took this bold step to establish workable solutions in line with these rules and established 'Saahas'- They have worked in the front end, engaging and sensitizing people to come on board with the practices of source segregation and 3Rs while also establishing back end infrastructure and processes to offer sustainable waste management services. There is a lot that remains to be done to further develop the ecosystem and Wilma talks about the existing gaps and how to fill those.
An entrepreneur who firmly believes that environmental and social impact should be at the forefront when it comes to implementing waste management solutions.
