In 2010, the old Arena Fonte Nova in Salvador, Brazil, was demolished after the tragic collapse in 2007. This marked the end of the historic stadium, but also the beginning of a new era.

From the demolition came a modern football stadium: the new Arena Fonte Nova, which went on to host matches of the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil.
