Gujarat On Red Alert As IMD Warns Of Extremely Heavy Rainfall | News9

Gujarat is once again on high alert as the India Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for several districts, warning of extremely heavy rainfall over the next 48 hours.

Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Bharuch, Narmada and Tapi are among the districts under the red alert. An orange alert has also been issued for parts of central Gujarat and Saurashtra.

The IMD has warned of flash floods, waterlogging, landslides and damage to crops and weak structures. Fishermen have also been advised not to venture into the sea along the South Gujarat coast amid rough weather conditions.
