Find Tx Rx and solder serial console for TP-LINK WDR4300ND WiFi router

In this video we will use vom multimeter to identify TX/RX/GND pins in TP-LINK WDR4300ND Ver: 1.7 serial console
Then we will solder 2.54mm Pin Connector to connect router serial to PC using USB to TTL UART Serial Converter Module
First, we use resistance to identify GND PIN which is 0 ohm to the chassis

and then turn on the router to find 3.3V VCC with Votl meter.
VCC 3.3V found
Finally, TX which is about 3V
so we found all PIN VCC - 3.3V / GND / RX - in / TX - out
We DO NOT CONNECT VCC. Use only TX/RX/GND. So I will use 3 PIN only
And we will solder it to the board like this
Soldering with tin
Now connect TXD pin from my module to RX pin on the router, RXD to TX and GND to GND using female to female jumper cable
Now connect USB 2.0 to TTL UART to PC
Use Hyper Terminal to connect to the router
First, check port setting Baud Rate: 115200; Data Bits: 8; Parity : No; Stop Bits: 1
Now connect and turn on WDR4300 router
All good, we are now connected to TP-Link TL-WDR4300 Serial console
If your router is bricked, you can access u-boot bootloader to debrick/unbrick by type tpl & hit ENTER after you see Autobooting in 1 seconds
