Finding Trigonometric Function Values Using a Calculator | Inverse Trigonometric Functions
http://www.greenemath.com/
In this lesson, we will learn how to find trigonometric function values using a calculator. In most cases, we will only have a sin, cos and tan key, so we have to make some minor adjustments to our problems using the reciprocal identities. Additionally, we will introduce the concept of inverse trigonometric functions. These will allow us to plug in a ratio and obtain an angle measure.
0:00 Using a calculator to evaluate trigonometric function values
1:58 Find sin 170° using a calculator
2:59 Find sec (-620°) using a calculator
4:47 Find cot 670° using a calculator
5:54 Using inverse trigonometric functions
9:39 Find θ given sin θ = 4/5 and θ is in quadrant I
11:06 Find θ given cos θ = 2/7 and θ is in quadrant I
