ROLLING PINES FIRE BASTROP TEXAS - A VOLUNTEER FIREFIGHTERS PERSPECTIVE

On January 18th an 800 +- acre wildfire in Bastrop Texas sparked a rapid mutual aid response. Rolling Pines Fire was fought by quickly assembled strike teams. Thankfully and incredibly, there were no lives or structures lost in this fast moving, dense and dry fueled fire.
I am a volunteer firefighter with ESD2, and this is my perspective and experience.
God bless every soul that helped for these few days. I was honored and humbled to serve with such exceptional people.
