LEGO Almost Went Bankrupt…

Hard to believe, but in 2003, LEGO was on the verge of collapse. Sales were crashing, and they were $800 million in debt.

The problem? They lost focus. Instead of doubling down on what made them great, they tried selling clothes, jewelry, video games, even theme parks and they failed miserably at everything.

But instead of going down, LEGO made one of the biggest comebacks.

They cut the distractions, refocused on the original bricks, and found a new audience which were “Adult Fans of LEGO” (AFOLs).

And guess what? It worked.

Fast forward to today, #lego is a $9 billion empire and the world’s most valuable toy brand.

💡 Lesson? Growth isn’t always about adding more. Sometimes, the smartest move is to get back to what made you great in the first place.
