Will Disney+ CRUSH Netflix in Subscriber Growth?

Disney had their investor day recently, where they announced the specific strategies on their full pivot into streaming. Over the 4-hour event, Disney announced over 50 new shows, and dozens other feature releases, and posted 2024 guidance of 230-260M subscribers for Disney+ and 300-350M subscribers when including Hulu & ESPN+ as well. This would make Disney the biggest streaming giant in the world, far surpassing Netflix.

In this episode, we’re going to discuss why I think Disney has the potential to win the streaming wars against Netflix, Apple tv+, and Amazon Prime Video through their specific flywheel between their digital and physical products and how the secret sauce of Disney's success is their long-withstanding brand and stickiness in original content.
