When Les Stroud first launched Survivorman, adventure travel was not as prolific as it is today. Here and around the world, in places meant to inspire us to love nature, to get out and travel, tragedies occur. Tragedies occur because of casual attitudes taken towards wilderness adventure. The point of Survivorman has always been to teach the right way, the safe way, to instruct outdoor enthusiasts on when not take chances and not go over the top, to avoid landing oneself in peril.
