Relations between China and the U.S. are strained at best. So, what would it take to put ties back on track? For answers, we present a special series called "China and the World", filled with in-depth interviews. In this episode of the series, hear from the president of the National Committee on U.S.-China Relations (NCUSCR). For 57 years, the committee has been a trailblazer in China-U.S. relations. Stephen Orlins, NCUSCR president, says it's crucial that both countries restart people-to-people exchange. He also points out that American policy towards China is overly hostile. Although he is a political minority in his views on China, he doesn't think that the situation is so difficult.
