Deed theft of a church - Community Center - Food Pantry in Harlem #deed #fraud
This video is from 2018, from Pastor Domingo Vasquez on 118th Street in Harlem.
Since 2017 and 2018, I have been screaming about the same pattern: developers, so-called developers, shell companies, insiders, and connected people targeting Black, Brown, immigrant, elderly, faith-based, and vulnerable property owners.
This is how they do it.
The ministry was Friendly Hands Inc.
But when paperwork was prepared around developer fees and rights, the name became Friendly Hands LLC.
That small change matters.
Inc. and LLC are not the same company.
One word, one letter, one entity switch can be used to confuse ownership, redirect money, erase rights, and make the victim look like they do not understand what happened.
That is how they get pastors.
That is how they get elders.
That is how they get families.
That is how they take churches, homes, buildings, and generational wealth.
Pastor Domingo Vasquez’s story is not the only one. I have seen this pattern in New York and New Jersey for years. I have fought for pastors, elders, families, and small businesses property owners who were targeted because someone thought they were too poor, too old, too trusting, too Black, too Brown, too immigrant, or too vulnerable to fight back.
So my question is simple:
How are we going to fix this?
We fix it by exposing the paperwork.
We fix it by checking every LLC, every deed, every signature, every title company, every attorney, every developer agreement, every mortgage, and every transfer.
We fix it by demanding criminal investigations when entity names are switched, documents are altered, or vulnerable people are misled.
We fix it by protecting elders, churches, small landlords, and community institutions before the property is gone.
Because this is not just paperwork.
This is deed theft.
This is economic abuse.
This is community displacement.
This is how they steal the city while calling it development.
And I will not stop showing the pattern.
