Cinque Terre | Pretty seaside towns by train | Italy in Winter

Hike 9km or take the train: The Cinque Terre or five towns are located on the Italian Riviera and can be reached via train from Genoa, Pisa or other surrounding cities with well connected airports.

We planned to hike but due to poor weather and some landslides paths were closed. Journeying through the five towns by train was super easy with trains going every hour.

I imagine it looks very different in summer!

Getting there: Pisa - Riomaggiore

Riomaggiore - Manorola
Manorola - Corniglia

We stayed in Corniglia
Corniglia - Vernazza
Vernazza - Monterosso

Leaving: Monterosso - Pisa
