Sip & Stitch LIVE Beginner Machine Embroidery Tutorial: In the Hoop Zippered Bag

In this month’s Sip & Stitch, we’re making a beginner-friendly in-the-hoop zippered bag that’s as fun to stitch as it is to use! I’ll show you how to personalize your bag using Embrilliance Essentials, then walk you step-by-step through the entire in-the-hoop process using a free design from Kimberbell. I’ll be demonstrating on my Brother NQ1700E, but this project can be made on any embroidery machine with a 5×7 hoop.
This class is perfect if you’ve been wanting to try zipper bags but weren’t sure where to start. We’ll go through each step together so you can feel confident with the process, and I’ll also share a few fun ways to customize your finished bag — including adding a side tab or ring so you can clip on keychains, charms, or snap tabs. These little bags make great personalized gifts, especially for things like Easter baskets, party favors, or everyday organization.
By the end of this tutorial, you’ll have a finished zippered bag and the confidence to keep making more on your own!
