Vaccine Minister, Nadhim Zahawi, shares his ambitious target of vaccinating 14 million people, including the over 70s, those required to shield and healthcare workers by mid-February. The remaining UK adults will then be offered the vaccine by Autumn. Nadhim reveals that one third of the over 80s have been vaccinated and received their first dose and in the past 3 days another 600 thousand over 80s have had letters to make an appointment at the 7 mass vaccination centres across the UK with more being launched next week and the week after. 200 community pharmacies and already 1000 sites, predominantly the primary care network are also vaccinating to get that mid-February target.
