A Typical Week Living and Working in LONDON

Follow me around my life in London including an exhibition all about the British Chinese community, a food tour around Chinatown, a dental surgery, food shopping (where I bought a lot of snacks) and my first time in Liverpool! Even had a boogie at the Cavern Club.

Working in London as a freelancer means there is a lot more flexibility when it comes to planning meetings and opportunities to work from home rather than commuting on overpacked tubes and set working hours. But it also means I'm usually at home with my hair shoved up and lounge clothes on spending all my free time getting edits done (which doesn't make for particularly exciting content so these are the BTS of what happens when I'm not tapping away on my laptop).

Filming bits and bobs from my week in London was a lot of fun and I'm thinking of doing more weekly/bi-weekly vlogs on the channel of my life in London and working freelance from other locations around the world. Let me know if you'd like to see more videos like these! :)

I always love coming to this spot for Japanese-style BBQ. Try and come here when they have their Happy Hour as it's super affordable and means you can order even more ;)

I've been coming to this salon for the past three years after my sister recommended it many moons ago. The salon offers a complimentary 15 minute shoulder massage (I. LOVE. MASSAGES), a brief head massage and a lovely cup of green tea. The staff are always lovely and their blow-dry and cuts are my FAVEEEEEE.

A great spot for matcha whether it's in coffee, tea, latte or dessert form. There's a LOT of choice here so if you're a matcha lover, head down! I love the genmaicha latte :)

The dim sum spot I go to whenever I'm in Chinatown. The staff are super friendly, the food is good value for the price and an all round good spot to go to when you're craving dim sum when you're in the area!

The Making of Chinatown

A temporary exhibition at the China Exchange in Chinatown all about the British Chinese community and the history involved throughout the years. I found this FASCINATING hearing the different stories and accounts of peoples' first experiences of the UK and Chinatown.

Whether you're British-born Chinese or simply interested in learning more about the community, I'd highly recommend a visit.
