Pocono Geographic Presents: THE GREAT BLUE HERON TREE (Pocono Mts. Nature)

In the Middle Smithfield and Smithfield Township (on the border line) is a somewhat famous tree in the swamps on the far northern end of Marshalls Lake. I had been told about it and saw some photos and the Audubon Bird Society did a piece/photo shoot on it. I wanted to take a shot at it after seeing it with my own eyes. Located about 100 years south of the Prices Chopper Complex (Heading towards Marshalls Creek south on 209 and maybe 25 yards into the swamp stands the Heron Tree. It's easy to see from 209 when there is no leaves. I stood knee deep in the swamp for 3 days to get some of these shots. I lost a sneaker in the muck. As far as the drone shots are concerned, the drone was very far away from the birds. They did not even know it was there. The drone has a zoom lens and I shot in 5.7K. With this high resolution I also zoomed a lot in post production which explains the lesser quality, but a good view was more important. Please subscribe to my YouTube Channel.
