Bushfire survivor calls for greenhouse gas emissions to come down
Bushfire Survivors for Climate Action President Jo Dodds is calling for greenhouse gas emissions to come down in order to make conditions for hazard reduction burning safer.
“The trajectory that we’re heading to as a result of emissions, is going to make it so dangerous there is nothing we can do in community or literally that governments can do other than run away,” Ms Dodds told Sky News Australia.
Ms Dodds said there are people in the community dealing with the trauma of the Black Summer bushfires.
“It’s a huge ask for them to be anywhere near another fire.”
