The Boss DM-2W is a faithful reboot of the company's well-loved DM-2 analog delay. The DM-2W is part of Boss's Waza Craft series dedicated to bringing players meticulously-designed updates of existing pedals. "Waza" is the Japanese term for art and technique, which is a recurring theme in both sound and design. The DM-2W picks up where the original left off, with a rich fully-analog bucket brigade delay line that melts seamlessly into itself for warm, fat repeats. There are two modes on the DM-2W: standard mode, which is crafted with the original slapback-friendly 20–300 milliseconds of delay, and custom, which brightens up the repeats while offering between 40 and 800 milliseconds of analog repeats. The DM-2W is equipped with a direct out for parallel processing, and an expression pedal jack to the DM-2W that allows players to remotely control the rate of the repeats. Like all Boss pedals, the DM-2W is built for the rigors of the road in its time-tested stout form factor that professionals have relied upon for decades.
