RAIDO: Finding value in our Journeys

Raido reminds us that there is value in every journey we undertake, good or bad. May Raido remind us all that our journeys have a higher purpose, and to use what we have learned for a greater good.

It is time to chant from the Sage's stool;
By the wells of Urðr I was,
I saw and was silent, I saw and I pondered,
And heard the words of Odinn.

Of runes they spoke, and the reading of runes
little was withheld from their lips:
At the hall of the High One, at the table of the Allfather;
And such was the speech I had heard.

I counsel thee Loddfafnir! and heed thou my counsel,
Profit thou hast if thou hearest, Great thy gain if thou learnest:

Runes shalt thou find, and fateful staves,
That the great singer painted,
And the mighty gods have made;
Strong are the signs, mighty the wisdom,
That the ruler of gods doth write.

From the Loddfafnismol, stanzas 110-111 & 141-142 of the Hávamál.

The Words of Odin the High One from the Elder or Poetic Edda
