Veterinarian Lands in Hay Field to get to Rural Patient's Faster

Did a Grass Strip Landing in a hay field in Southwestern Texas to go work on some whitetail, sable, and kudu. I decided to take the plane so I could get there faster. This area of Texas is greatly underserved and these ranches are so far from other veterinarians that no one is willing to go out and help them. I find this frequently. There are native and exotic wildlife that need help, but the ranches are often too far from a clinic for a vet to be willing to go out to the ranch. In addition, most vets don't know how to help native and exotic wildlife because most of the info is not written down, it is learned from a mentor and/or by doing it.  There is some of the information written down in books, but the problem is you don't really know how to even use the little bit of information that is in books until you get experience. On top of that, some of the drugs I use to work with these animals are very restricted and only people that work with these animals are allowed to use get them and use them, but you can't work with the animal unless you have access to these drugs. This is a big catch 22 that is a very challenging hurdle for new vets to overcome. Helping these underserved animals and working in these underserved areas has become a big part of my mission. It is also a big part of why I started making courses to teach people how to do what I do.
