Hiking Thru the Bible: Joshua and Caleb and All Israel Get Their Inheritance in the Land of Canaan

What the world needs is hope and healing one step at a time.

This hike was in a popular US forest service area. I'm not sure if it was so crowded because the Kokanee were spawning or it's just a super famous spot. I'm guessing it was because of the spawning fish and the occasional bear you might see. Along with the spawning fish I was impressed with the huge cedars.

I'm doing a hike through the Bible and it's time for Joshua to divide the land of Canaan. There were a few squabbles but mostly it went ok I think! The larger tribes naturally got more land. Caleb, one of the oldest surviving men got, ironically, Hebron, the place where the giants lived. This is what prompted the 10 cowardly spies to doubt God. But Caleb and Joshua never doubted God! Joshua was very humble and took what was left over, which ended up being in a remote site in the rugged mountains of Ephraim.
