Day 2 covers the technique of intentionally stringing 3D Prints. This Christmas tree uses what would normally be errors to make the branches more lifelike.

You have probably spent a lot of time like me tuning out stringing from your prints, well this design reverts all of that tuning to amplify the stringing. I thought it was funny how I was doing tuning for this print to make the stringing better, and I think in the end I got it to a good look. My tips would be to increase the temperature you are printing at, turn off cooling and retractions, print the outer walls slower, and even heating up the room with a space heater. Since it is the winter here and I print in a basement, the print was naturally cooling too much already. I put a space heater on a medium setting next to the printer to keep the branches warm enough to properly droop down.

This model is also great that it includes decorating ornaments and a star for the top so you can decorate it any way you want. It makes a great holiday time activity.
